The San Blas Archipelago (also known as the Mulatas Archipelago) seduces with its rusticity and austerity, the beauty of its beaches and its magical simplicity. This Panamanian jewel has 365 islands, most of which are uninhabited.

Around 40 of them are managed by the Guna indigenous people, members of the GunaYala region, who inhabit this area of almost 200 kilometers on the northern coast of Panama.

We embark on a rocky and curving two and a half hour journey from Panama City, aboard a 4×4 vehicle, to the port from where we will head to the destination island through the archipelago.

As the boat advances, in the expanse of the sea you can see small indigenous populations that live in huts made with straw and leaves; its brightly colored molas and canoes resting in the water.
