Taboga Island is only 7 miles away by boat from Panama City. Also known as the Island of flowers, it offers an impressive history and culture that your group will love. You can enjoy a day at the beach near the city.

 

You can learn the fascinating history of this place during Pirate times, World War II, and more. The island was discovered in the 16th century and was originally named Isla de San Pedro by the Spanish explorer Vasco Núñez de Balboa. Its current name derives from an Indian word aboga, which means «many fish». Its church of San Pedro is claimed to be the second-oldest church in the hemisphere.
